As a riding association we are financially sound, engaged in the community, and working to keep an NDP presence in northern Ontario. We are proud of our hard working MP, John Rafferty. He and his competent staff are doing a fine job for the constituency.
The new executive invites your participation in the election planning process. Let us know how you can support, now or in future, be it with a sign on your lawn or helping put up signs, volunteering at fundraising events or donating in dollars, giving time at the campaign office, out in the community, or at your home computer.
As an NDP member in the Thunder Bay / Rainy River you can have a voice in party policy making. As an NDP riding association member you can vote for the candidate of your choice to run in any election. As a new or lapsed member your membership application must be postmarked at least 30 days prior to a nomination meeting to be eligible to vote for a candidate at a nomination meeting. As a PAC (Pre-authorized Cheque for whatever affordable) supporter your membership is automatically renewed. A committed support like this also strengthens the riding association.
Our executive live in a number of communities, from Fort Frances to Atikokan, Neebing, and Thunder Bay, giving good area representation. Working together we will reach out and garner support across the vastness of this riding.
